The ‘Sustainable’ quadrant refers to how mobility can improve personal health and the health of society and the environment.

The ‘Sustainable’ dimension to mobility behaviour focuses on ‘preservation’ our well-being. To what extent is my behaviour driven by the need to achieve or retain a good level of ‘my health’: Also how much is my behaviour driven by the need to protect the ‘health of all of us’ through improving the environment in which we all exist. This again focuses on the balance we achieve in our behaviour between these two forces. Such values have a strong impact on our mobility behaviour.

The final quadrant relates to ‘caring’ mobility behaviour: that is, behaviour that is consciously driven to sustain the environment and social health and well being (‘we’), and behaviour to preserve personal health (‘me’).

  • Product/system/service provider’s definition: What is the performance of the mobility product/service in terms of sustainability and social well being?

Axis 8: Personal health

(Fully aware – Not aware at all)
  • Users definition: How health-conscious are you when you think about your mobility?
  • Product/system/service provider’s definition: What is the performance of the mobility product/service in terms of its potential to improve the health of users
